Week 22.. The Surprise News...

                                                               Sister Hobbs
I thought I needed to add this to Adrian's Blog because it has been such an emotional week finding out his best friend is going on a mission.  Since Adrian surprised us with his mission call we decided we needed to surprise him.  Savy made a cute video and she sent it over to the Philippines to our friend Christine that is in his ward.  After church she asked Adrian to come over to her house because she had something for him. This is Savy's video...

This is Adrian's response...

Week 21... Changes....

Letter from Adrian's companion that got transferred.

Hi! How are you doing? Just dropping by to tell you guys that it was really an awesome learning experience being with Elder Naylor. Best companion I've had. It felt like dark clouds have formed around us when we knew that there is an emergency transfer that very day. I miss him and his company. He did teach me a ton of things and made me a better person, friend, and missionary. And for someone who's only been about four months in the field, he has been doing great. I love the Spirit he carries with him and he's been a very genuine guy. He works diligently to overcome his weaknesses and loves serving people around him. I want to thank you for helping and molding him to become who he is right now. He loves you all so much and he prays and is very concerned with each and every one of you back there. He's really going to be a great leader here in the mission and when he gets back there, that's for sure. Keep in touch with him. Aaaaand Sister Savannah, wait for him. He's worth the wait and I won't be tired telling you that. Haha. Take care! Godspeed.

Elder Choresca
Family and Friends
I love you!

Words cannot describe the craziness of the past week!
Mother's day is now my new favorite holiday! I love my mother she is definitely the best thing in my life! It was so good to see family and friends and is a definite push for me to keep on keeping on!
I now have a new companion! Elder Choresca was made a Zone Leader and was emergency transfered to his new area! I miss that guy but he is going to do great things! I love my new companion! Elder Obligacion! awesome name right? He is an Obligacion! All he does is cook and cook and cook! and makes me fat.... haha I will blame my obesity on him! He is great! he is super nice and super hard working! my kinda guy! I feel like we are going to kick some butt together!
Victoria is still Victoria! by that i mean it is perfect! it really is just like home for me! It's hard to be Preston Idaho but it is pretty stinkin close! I love the people! Nothing is better than walking down the street and seeing familiar faces! and new faces!

I have no time to talk so i will be brief!
I had the opportunity today to go to a Minesterio. Up in the mountains and hang out with Jesus! It was the coolest thing i have done on my mission so far! it felt like i was on vacation in mexico! We had a personal study while we were there and it was a very spiritual experience!

A sister missionary died in our mission. I don't know her but still very sad. I thought that missionaries were invincible... I will now begin to be a lot more careful.

Ahh so much has happened this week and i want to
express it all! I love you all!
Have a fantastic week!
The church is still true!

Oh P.S. I ripped my pantz again..... This morning

Week 19.... The Commandments...

Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
I came across these two simple but incredibly central and essential commandments while studying about the 10 commandments. The obedience to the two great commandments is the foundation of every commandment given to us from our Father in Heaven. If we are to follow these two, every commandment, every law given to us will follow.
This week was a week full of learning. I learned so much in my studies. I would love if it were possible for us to take at least two extra hours to study the gospel. I wish i would have realized how incredible learning about the gospel is. It's almost as addictive as fresh made bread from the bakeries.
Did anyone watch the Pakman Vs. Mayweather fight? We didn't but the entire Philippines did. When the Pakman fights the Philippines has a 0% crime rate, not even kidding. In the municipal park here they had a projector set up and I wouldn't doubt if 3/4 of Victoria was there! Too bad our American Champion Mayweather took home the Gold! AMERICA!!

Elder Choresca and I had a workshop for the Ward Missionaries to build up their testimonies about the Atonement of our Savior. There was about 7 of them that showed up and we watched the suffering in the garden, the crucifiction, and the resurrection. Not a single person in that room had no tears in their eyes. "The more we understand about the atonement, the more desire we have to share the gospel" That was our goal for the workshop and it worked. It worked for them, and it worked for me. We gave them all mga aklat ni mormon and asked if they would write their testimonies and give it to someone they knew.
Grocery shopping this morning and a miracle occured... (Canned Chicken) The grin on my face lit up the entire
bird infested grocery store.
I love this work, I love these people, I'm beginning to think that i will live in the Philippines for the rest of my life. Buy a farm and farm for rice the rest of my days. I'm thankful for this glorious opportuninty to serve my God in this wonderful country. I'm thankful for all the people who have made it possible for me to be here. And I am especially thankful that it is mother's day next week!! AHH I cannot wait to see all of my family! I love you all! Have a fantastic week!'
