Week 25... Highs and Lows...

Hello Hello!
Yes I am fine and alive! I'm sorry for the little scare with the MRC thingy! haha yeah my bum has problems but all is well! I'm back in Victoria kickin and screamin! as in working hard...

Alot has happened this week! from catching an investigator drinking to watching an investigator be baptized!
Missions are awesome!
Those two instences explain the mission perfectly!
The Highest of Highs and the Lowest of Lows.
Usually i feel like i'm always experiencing more Highs than lows!

Elder Obligacion and I got up this morning and cleared out the forest of weeds that we had surrounding our

home! For all you moms out there, this was the definition of weeding! You know it's bad when you have to use swords to get the job done!

Y'all would be proud of me, I'm preparing to sing in the upcoming Mission Tour this Friday! haha a ton of missionaries will be there, the President and his wife, and the Area President of the Philippines.. Yeah nerves are flying! This is just a little bit of a bigger deal than singing in sacrament meeting! but i'm excited!

We had a baptism occur this week and we had a baptism fall through this week.. sweet and sour! The baptism
was for Rommel Gambala! this kid... haha i could say a lot about this kid because he is just so stinkin funny! he totally doesn't have a clue about life but he knew he had to be baptized!
The baptism that Fell through was nanay Presila, She's a 70 year old woman that has a powerful testimony and wants to be baptized so bad! buuuutt her husband is absolutely crackers!! and he doesn't want her to be baptized! "Why you gotta be so rude!! don't you know she's human too!"

I've killed over a million ants this week in our kitchen. My pesticide is a Lit Candle and Alcohol Spray! yeah I'm a pyro! I lit them all up! but they keep on coming. I'm afraid i will wake up one evening and they will be eating me to revenge the death of their brethren.

Anyway i'm totally just giving you random facts about my week! It was a good one! i wish i could give it all to you!
The church is true! and I love it!
Good night to all and to all a good night!

Also we built a house this week!
If you look closely it looks as if i peed my pantz..
that's because i did..
haha joke
No that's just sweat!
Never thought that i could sweat so much down there!
Nothing better than getting damp with sweat!
Love Adrian

Week 23... Transfers will he go or stay...

Hello hello!
The Church is still true!
Transfers are on the Horizon, I will know if i will be leaving Victoria on Wednesday, This i absolutely 100% do not want. I have been pleading with the Good Man Above day and night to find it in his heart to leave me where I am. Victoria is my home, These people are my family, and if i leave i just don't know if they will be ok.. haha joke i don't know if i will be ok. But I will go and do as the Lord Commands!

It is mind boggling for me the abundance of miracles that takes place when you are in the service of your Lord. This week a fantastic young woman of 16 years old named Marjorie Marillo Cureg was baptized! She is one of
the strongest girls i have ever met. she knows this church is true. Yesterday after church Marjorie ate with us at a members house. She asked me a question that has left me dumbstruck ever since she asked it. First off i want to explain something. We as missionaries are told to ask Inspired Questions to the people we come in contact with and teach. Questions that make you ponder and really think deep. The question that she asked me was a definite Inspired Question a question that made me think so deep that i am still digging for an answer. She asked me
"Elder Naylor, What was the happiest moment in your life?" I thought, ok just give me a minute and i'll think about it. I thought about it, and thought about it some more. Nothing.... I then asked her to explain to me her happiest moment. She gave me an amazing answer. She said that it was the first time that she stepped foot into the chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She explained to me that she had a feeling of comfort and peace, as if she was "Home" She then explained to me a dream that she had when she was a little girl that she had been standing outside of the doors of a building that looked exactly like one of our chapels and that she badly wanted to enter while in the dream.
I Testify that this church is our home. our Refuge for Peace, Comfort, and Happiness. While searching my mind for an answer to her question i found that the happiest moments in my life where when i was "Choosing the Right" When i knew that what i was doing was good in the sight of God. I have a bounty of happy moments in my life, too many to count, The most significant ones are the ones that have brought me one step closer to my father in heaven.

Also on the note of Marjorie, we threw a surprise birthday party for her on Wednesday! She gloomly told me a few weeks ago that she wasn't going to havea birthday party so i decided to give her what i have wanted my whole life "Wink Wink" SURPRISE!!! she nearly had a heart attack but it truly was incredible. With the help of the Ward it was a huge success!

I love being a missionary.. Simply put! I know what i am doing is right and these are the happiest moments of my life! Thank you for all of your love and support!

Peace, Love, Save the Whales!

Week 22.. The Surprise News...

                                                               Sister Hobbs
I thought I needed to add this to Adrian's Blog because it has been such an emotional week finding out his best friend is going on a mission.  Since Adrian surprised us with his mission call we decided we needed to surprise him.  Savy made a cute video and she sent it over to the Philippines to our friend Christine that is in his ward.  After church she asked Adrian to come over to her house because she had something for him. This is Savy's video...

This is Adrian's response...

Savy watching Adrian getting her video ...

Week 21... Changes....

Letter from Adrian's companion that got transferred.

Hi! How are you doing? Just dropping by to tell you guys that it was really an awesome learning experience being with Elder Naylor. Best companion I've had. It felt like dark clouds have formed around us when we knew that there is an emergency transfer that very day. I miss him and his company. He did teach me a ton of things and made me a better person, friend, and missionary. And for someone who's only been about four months in the field, he has been doing great. I love the Spirit he carries with him and he's been a very genuine guy. He works diligently to overcome his weaknesses and loves serving people around him. I want to thank you for helping and molding him to become who he is right now. He loves you all so much and he prays and is very concerned with each and every one of you back there. He's really going to be a great leader here in the mission and when he gets back there, that's for sure. Keep in touch with him. Aaaaand Sister Savannah, wait for him. He's worth the wait and I won't be tired telling you that. Haha. Take care! Godspeed.

Elder Choresca
Family and Friends
I love you!

Words cannot describe the craziness of the past week!
Mother's day is now my new favorite holiday! I love my mother she is definitely the best thing in my life! It was so good to see family and friends and is a definite push for me to keep on keeping on!
I now have a new companion! Elder Choresca was made a Zone Leader and was emergency transfered to his new area! I miss that guy but he is going to do great things! I love my new companion! Elder Obligacion! awesome name right? He is an Obligacion! All he does is cook and cook and cook! and makes me fat.... haha I will blame my obesity on him! He is great! he is super nice and super hard working! my kinda guy! I feel like we are going to kick some butt together!
Victoria is still Victoria! by that i mean it is perfect! it really is just like home for me! It's hard to be Preston Idaho but it is pretty stinkin close! I love the people! Nothing is better than walking down the street and seeing familiar faces! and new faces!

I have no time to talk so i will be brief!
I had the opportunity today to go to a Minesterio. Up in the mountains and hang out with Jesus! It was the coolest thing i have done on my mission so far! it felt like i was on vacation in mexico! We had a personal study while we were there and it was a very spiritual experience!

A sister missionary died in our mission. I don't know her but still very sad. I thought that missionaries were invincible... I will now begin to be a lot more careful.

Ahh so much has happened this week and i want to
express it all! I love you all!
Have a fantastic week!
The church is still true!

Oh P.S. I ripped my pantz again..... This morning

Week 19.... The Commandments...

Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
I came across these two simple but incredibly central and essential commandments while studying about the 10 commandments. The obedience to the two great commandments is the foundation of every commandment given to us from our Father in Heaven. If we are to follow these two, every commandment, every law given to us will follow.
This week was a week full of learning. I learned so much in my studies. I would love if it were possible for us to take at least two extra hours to study the gospel. I wish i would have realized how incredible learning about the gospel is. It's almost as addictive as fresh made bread from the bakeries.
Did anyone watch the Pakman Vs. Mayweather fight? We didn't but the entire Philippines did. When the Pakman fights the Philippines has a 0% crime rate, not even kidding. In the municipal park here they had a projector set up and I wouldn't doubt if 3/4 of Victoria was there! Too bad our American Champion Mayweather took home the Gold! AMERICA!!

Elder Choresca and I had a workshop for the Ward Missionaries to build up their testimonies about the Atonement of our Savior. There was about 7 of them that showed up and we watched the suffering in the garden, the crucifiction, and the resurrection. Not a single person in that room had no tears in their eyes. "The more we understand about the atonement, the more desire we have to share the gospel" That was our goal for the workshop and it worked. It worked for them, and it worked for me. We gave them all mga aklat ni mormon and asked if they would write their testimonies and give it to someone they knew.
Grocery shopping this morning and a miracle occured... (Canned Chicken) The grin on my face lit up the entire
bird infested grocery store.
I love this work, I love these people, I'm beginning to think that i will live in the Philippines for the rest of my life. Buy a farm and farm for rice the rest of my days. I'm thankful for this glorious opportuninty to serve my God in this wonderful country. I'm thankful for all the people who have made it possible for me to be here. And I am especially thankful that it is mother's day next week!! AHH I cannot wait to see all of my family! I love you all! Have a fantastic week!'
